Flexible fastening of the gratings - the KOVING system

Our company is constantly searching for new ways of improving the fastening system. Currently, we have developed a new way of doing it better and quicker.
Flexible fastening of gratings by the KOVING system allows to easily mount and dismount grates on steel structures. The system is patent-protected and replaces commonly used standard clamps and double clamps. The KOVING system (Figure 1) is designed for SP- and P-type gratings, manufactured according to DIN 24537 standard.

Fastening clip (KTP)

A fastening clip (KTP) is a 3D shaped spring, made of spring wire, consisting of a flexible point, two push arms, which continue into two oppositely-oriented torsion supporting points. Another part of the clip is made of two suspension arms, finished by a suspension bend, optionally with safety prolonged arms.
A standard range of KTPs is made for the following height of grating bearing bar: 30mm, 40mm, 50mm for the mesh dimensions of 30/30 mm. The clip is flexible in several directions - forces in the horizontal and vertical directions, and torsion properties of the torsion point are important. The push arms are bent to achieve better pushing effect on beam flanges. KTPs are made of hot-dip galvanised spring wire, Bezinal or stainless spring wire in order to achieve the highest corrosion resistance.

Connecting clip - STP

A connecting clip (STP) is designed to connect together two adjacently laid gratings. It is a 3D shaped spring, made of spring wire. The connecting clip (STP) consists of a flexible point, two lower push arms which continue into two upper suspension C-hook shaped arms. The connecting clip is flexible in three mutually perpendicular directions.

Mounting tools

- mounting lever with expanding element and handle (approx. 400 mm long).
